At present, we offer for sale sash pulleys, stop bead adjusters, spring bolts, storm sash hardware and storm adjusters. Click on the links at right to purchase these items through the web.
We can, of course, furnish the replicated window unit with our own reproduction window hardware installed. In order to insure that the new reproduction windows blend with existing ones, we can also furnish restoration window glass.

We can furnish complete window units, including frames, sash, hardware, wood storms and screens. |
Smith Restoration Sash specializes in single glazed, single and double hung sash and frames. We can provide complete window units including frames, sash and wooden storm windows, furnished either glazed or open (without glass). All work is custom; we maintain no stock inventory. Because we operate on a strictly custom basis and grind new tooling as required, potential designs are unlimited. Our new sash blend with the existing original wood windows and meet the most stringent standards for historic preservation.
Painstaking attention to detail results in a reproduction window that performs as well as or better than the original. All reproduction window sash are assembled with pegged mortise and tenons. The greatest care is given to lumber selection. Heartwood, for instance, is used for those components subject to the most extreme weathering, such as the lower rails and sills. While our joinery is traditional, our manufacturing process utilizes the best of past and present sash and window making technology.
Unsolicited (& Appreciated!) Client Comment: "Built by craftsmen in 1926, what has been added to this house since has invariably been of a poorer quality. The exception will be these window sash. They are not just beautiful, but in a time when the vast majority of people put little value on excellence, they also restore confidence in the nature and potential of the human spirit."
