Gothic Round Top Window.
We produced a number of sash for an 18th century home in Seekonk, Massachusetts. While most of the sash were simple 6 over 6 plain rail, the job also required that we produce a circle top sash with Gothic arch tracery for a Palladian window.

Single Hung Windows.
The photo shows 13 single hung, plain rail window units. These windows, for a home in Quechee Vermont, will be set, cheek by jowl, in a long eave and will be cased out at the job site. The frames have blind stops to accept wooden storm sash (one of which is visible on the unit on the right). The installation of the exterior trim will result in the storms setting flush with the exterior casing, an attractive and draft free design.

Apart from their thermal efficiency, these wood storms dampen street noise and other noise pollution.

1750 Windows Sash.
SRS built 44 plain rail 12 light wooden sash to replace the originals for the circa 1750 Wallis homestead located in Douglas, Ma. We ground custom tooling to replicate the original profile. As is typical with plank frame windows, the upper sash is fixed. The owner has elected spring-bolts as the means of operating and securing the lower sash. Original Sash leans against the cart.

Window Sash and Screen.
This double hung attic unit was one of several produced for an 1896 four square house that was completely restored after having been vacant for five years. The house sustained a fire that damaged many of the frames and all of the sash. The new sash were glazed with preservation glass throughout and incorporate the existing weight and pulley balance system. This eliminated the need to rework the frames. We also constructed wooden storms and half screens to replace the existing triple tracks. The attic window shows a complete unit with half screen in place.
